Junction Inn
Ashton-Under-Lyne

The Junction Inn was established around 1854 in the Ashton area once known as Charlestown, then characterised by back-to-back terraced houses, shops, and numerous public houses. A tunnel still exists beneath the pub, historically linking it to another across the street and believed to have transported barrels of ale.

Although the original housing has long disappeared and the area has been redeveloped, the Junction Inn remains an important community pub. Conveniently located just a short stroll from the outdoor market and behind Ashton Station, it offers nine large screens for live sport, a traditional tap room with darts and pool, and regularly hosts leading bands and tribute acts.
